Well, just giving myself a pat on the back for getting this damn book finished! Taking on dozens of jobs in any given year was a feat in itself. Writing a book along the way was a whole other story. Editing and working with editors had become a CAREER! At least it is a more pleasant and illuminating read for the effort. THANK YOU to those who encouraged me to take this book a bit more seriously than I was originally. We’ll hopefully all be going on a surf trip in the South Pacific soon. It’s on me. Just don’t call it “vacation”. We’ll call it a wrap party. This shit is work.
The picture above is from a Tuesday afternoon in February 2009 somewhere in Lake Tahoe, CA about a week after the final final final final final final final draft of the book was approved and released. I met this guy on the chairlift. The universe elected me as “Employee on the Month”. I gladly accepted.
